Values & Commitments
To serve alongside Source de la Grace church ministries with compassion for the vulnerable children of Haiti, with respect for Source de la Grace as a church, and with appreciation for Haiti as a culture.
To operate as a ministry with Christ at the center, listening to Him for direction and seeking to bring Him honor in all things.
To maintain the relaxed and relational way in which ministry began in 2011 alongside Source de la Grace in Portail Leogane, Haiti., seeking to prioritize spiritual unity, maintain trust, and allow ministry to flow out of grace-filled relationship.
To keep the perspective and objectives outlined by the Lord in James 1:27 – “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
To “do everything in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14), both financially through consistent giving and relationally through consistent ministry trips and relationship.
To guard and uphold these values and commitments, expecting those within Haiti Joy Hope and those representing Haiti Joy Hope to do the same.
